Take a breath with me 🤍

Do you ever find it hard to get out of bed in the mornings?

How about experiencing the “foggy”-brain? Meaning: this is where all of your thoughts seem to be so thick and heavy that even the dullest amount of shine in your brain won’t shine through.

I’ve personally experienced both of these scenarios and I will admit they’re both highly annoying. You sit there just sobbing with the thought of “I just want to be normal”.

Here’s something to know — You are HUMAN!

As humans we were made to be passionate. With that being said, figuring out how to manage our mood is very important in trying to maintain a healthy ‘passionate’ lifestyle and environment.

NOTE: You can be very passionate about something; but that passion can be easily turned into obsessiveness, which is not healthy.

Practicing healthy mood-managing techniques:

  1. Breathe - close your eyes, take a deep breath & let it out slowly.

  2. Touch objects around you - make yourself aware of where you are currently at and put yourself into ‘now’ instead of ‘what if’

  3. Nature - take a look outside, whether it’s through a window or even going on a walk. Touch tree and grab a leaf. Smell a flower. Listen to and watch the birds. Notice that everything in life is still moving.

  4. Find yourself a hobby - take yourself on a mental-vacation by doing something you absolutely love (take my writing as an example. This is my ‘quiet’ time activity/hobby).

  5. Read - inspirational books, blogs, etc. are great to have around when you’re experiencing a brain-fog. Sometimes we just truly don’t know where to turn or why we are feeling a certain way. Listen, you’re not alone. Many people have been through or currently going through whatever it is that you’re feeling. Seek the answers & don’t dwell in the unknown.

There are so many more ways to practice positive mood-managing to help create the sense of passion and establishing purpose in your life. This list is just a select few that I’ve found helpful for myself.

The need for purpose is also another defining characteristics of being human. Recognizing your own gifts and using them to contribute to the world is very fulfilling and how we are created to live. As individuals we bring different talents to this life — it’s truly beautiful.

When you decide to take the time to practice breathing and positive mood-managing techniques you will learn that your entire purpose in this life is greater and very fulfilling. I’d love to hear your story! 🤍

I pray that you find YOU ☀️🙂

As always, thanks for reading!

Forever,

Paige
